Fire Retardant (FR) MDF is engineered with enhanced fire-delaying properties, manufactured in accordance with the European standard EN 622-5. It is increasingly utilized in public spaces where strict fire safety regulations must be met. This specialized panel satisfies rigorous requirements, offering improved fire resistance and, specifically, the ability to prevent fire spread and the formation of burning droplets/sparks. According to the EN 13501-1 standard, it is classified as B-s1, d0 regarding its reaction to fire. It is typically produced with a distinctive red-colored core for identification.
